The Plough – with easy removable knife for sharpening
This knife is tool steel with 15% tungsten for a longer cutting life. The part of the Plough blade that does the cutting of the paper is well rounded and leaves the book edge smooth and polished.
You will find on examining the cutting edge that this has been ground hollow and should be reground after a lot of honing. The blade should best be taken to a reputable saw service or joinery works willing to take on the small job of grinding the blade for you.
